Turmeric : Recipes

Turmeric can also be used in kitchen and here there are two extravagant recipes! :

PASTA WITH TOMATOES AND TURMERIC

  • tomatoes
  • a spoon of turmeric
  • oil
  • salt
  • garlic

Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.  Add the garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until aromatic.

Stir in the tomatoes and tomato paste. Increase heat to high and bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, uncovered, stirring often, for 6-7 minutes or until the sauce reduces and thickens slightly them for ten minutes.

When the water boil, add salt and then you  cook pasta for 6 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a large saucepan of salted boiling water following packet directions or until al dente. Drain and return to the pan. Complete adding a teaspoon of turmeric. Serve immedietely.

 TURMERIC CHICKEN

Ingredients :

  • 2 kg chicken thighs
  • 4 blond onions
  • garlic
  • 1 piece of ginger
  • juice of lemon
  • green olives
  • 3 lemons
  • oil
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • coriander
  • salt

 Combine with oil, paprika, turmeric, curry powder salt and then to marinate  chicken thighs all the night.

Cook chicken thighs in the  marinate oil and put them in other plate. In the same pan , cook onions and then add garlic.

Add fresh ginger in pieces and  leave cook for 10 minutes.Add chicken thighs and wet them with juice lemon.

Finally,  add coriander, green olives and lemons. Cook for other minutes and serve immediately.
